Have you ever seen such a sight in your life....

Okay, the mice problem continues to get worse.  The past two nights our sleep has been disturbed by the cats "playing" with the rodents.  I told Brian I really needed him to step up to the plate and tackle this problem, or we will need to pay big bucks to a professional.
I left to run some errands and when I returned, this was sitting on our kitchen counter.  A homemade mouse catcher.  Please note the detail work of the mini-steps for the mice to climb.  On the inside of the bucket is sunflower seeds and peanut butter to lure them.  Does anyone care to make a wager on how many mice this little baby will catch?

That is priceless. Thank you for sharing. I think professional exterminators are going to have to fear for their jobs. We always knew he was creative.

Do you think I could ask him to make me one for my birthday!!!Maybe Brock or Kate could present it as the next great invention at their science fair?

Erin, you're not being fair. You forgot to include a photo of the little mechanical mouse, with his green hat and musical pipe, who will march up the specially made ramp with all the little mice happily following. Nor have you considered how many lemmings you might catch.

He is now working on a leprechaun trap and hopes to have a prototype soon.

Let me know if you're interested in one for St. Patrick's Day. Leprechauns can be little boogers.

Laugh all you want, but the fact that it has cuaght no mice is a testament to its effectiveness.

As for leprechauns, you haven't seen too many of those around the house laely either, have you? Ha!

for not being a formally trained engineer, I'm unduly impressed....now for it's effectiveness, I'm highly dubious. Perhaps he should team up w/ my resident engineer....or just call a spade a spade and call my bug guy.
